I bought this Nikon 10x50 after my older auto focus Nikon was stolen. My husband has this one, so I knew I liked it. We bought his while at Yellowstone NP, and were able to watch the Druid Wolf pack as they played in one of the many meadows there. The magnification and objective lens combo is likely the best of the 3 binocs I have used; the clarity and ability to see the wolves so seemingly close was awesome !! It sometimes gets a little heavy, but I use a harness when hiking so that is not an issue. If standing/watching, I have a tripod, so that takes care of that. The center focus makes it quick and easy to focus as the scenes change. The price was really good, and it was a tough deal to pass up. All in all, a nice package. I can't really think of any cons.... Its really the nicest pair of binocs I have ever used. I use it for everything, from concerts to "photo hunting" as my husband refers to it, as well as watching wildlife, especially the deer that come around the house at our home. [...]

        Q1: I was curious about the Nikon Binocular No-Fault Policy. I have not been able to find a reference to this on their web site. Is this something only available through Binoculars.com?

        A: This rebate is offered by all Authorized Nikon retailers. Nikon will repair or replace any Nikon binoculars purchased from an Authorized dealer, regardless of why they need repair.

        Q2: How good would these be for introductory astronomy? I am looking for a good hand held set of binoculars for Star gazing.

        A: The Nikon 10x50 Action Binoculars would be good for beginning astronomy. They have a higher magnification and gather a good amount of light. The results are ideal for stargazing
