  • An essential for DSLR astrophotography
  • Attaches a camera to the main focus of a telescope
  • Perfect for imaging the Moon, planets, brighter deep-sky objects and terrestrial subjects
  • Can also be used with a guidescope for long exposure deep-sky photography
  • Description

Celestron's T-rings for Canon EOS and Nikon DSLR cameras are must-have accessories for budding astrophotographers looking to capture the night sky with a DSLR. With the correct T-ring and a compatible T-Adapter, you can attach your camera to your telescope's prime focus and use it for short-exposure lunar, planetary, and deep sky astrophotography for exposure times under 30 seconds. It's also a great setup for terrestrial imaging of wildlife from great distances. For increased exposure times, consider adding a separate guidescope to your imaging setup. This will allow you to track accurately over longer periods of time.

Note that both the T-ring and a T-Adapter (sold separately) are required to attach your camera to a telescope.

Customer Q&A

1 2
  • Q1: Can I use this T-Ring with my Nikon 8700 digital camera?

A: as long as your nikon camera i9s a SLR or DSLR it will work just fine.

  • Q2: Do you have an adapter for a Cannon Digital Rebel to a Bausch Lomb 4000 telescope? Thanks Ed.

A: As we recall, the discontinued Bausch & Lomb 4000 takes a 1.25-inch eyepiece. If that is indeed the case, the Zhumell Universal T-Adapter will fit the scope. Then, to attach the camera to the T-Adapter, you'll need The T-Ring Cannon EOS, which you've already located. Here's the URL for the Zhumell T-Adapter; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-universal-t-adapter-1-25-inch-camera-adapter-30842.html.

  • Q3: Will this t-adapter work with an Olympus OM 10 SLR and Ultima 80 ED-45 degree????

A: Hi Mark, Thank you for your email. Yes! This is the T-ring that will work with your SLR camera. The rubber of the eyecup on the ultima can be plucked off to reveal threads for the T Ring. This then attaches to your camera/t-ring and you're ready to shoot! Best Regards, Denny

  • Q4: Will this T-Ring work on a Celestron Ulima 100 spotting scope

A: It will work but you will need to have another adapter as well that the T-ring will attach to. This adapter will be specific depending on what type of Camera you are using SLR, DSLR, or standard Digital. The thing is that with a Digital camera that does not have a removable lens you will need what is called a variable projection adapter. If your camera has the removable lens The t-ring will attach to a different style of adapter for the scope. So in essence the answer is yes and no as it all depends on what you are trying to adapt.

  • Q5: will this work on a canon ef lens mount? which t adapter and ring adaptor should i use for a Canon EOS 620 35mm slr? I am using a celestron refrative 120mm telescope?? Do i need anything else to start shooting?

A: The T-ring Canon EOS will fit a canon EOS camera. To make the connection to the telescope, you'll need a device like the Zhumell Universal T-Adapter. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-universal-t-adapter-1-25-inch-camera-adapter-30842.html.

  • Q6: will this work on canon ef lens mounts?

A: The Canon T-ring will work on all canons but the EOS.

  • Q7: Hello there I have the Olympus Evolt 500 SLR digital camera and I want to know if I can attach it to my Nexstar 114 with convencional T ring and T adapter Olympus. If doesn´t, what can I do? Thank you

A: Yes, the conventional T-ring/T-adapter setup will work just fine. Here's the URL for the T-adapter; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/celestron-t-adapter-universal-1-14-inch-11515.html. And here's the URL for the T-ring: http://meade.telescopes.com/products/celestron-t-ring-olympus-6044.html.

  • Q8: hello will this product fit a pentax digital slr camera like the pentax ist-dl .... thanx for your time and help!

A: Yes, the Celestron T-Ring Pentax will fit a Pentax DSLR.

  • Q9: Hello, I currently have a Meade #62 T-Adapter and am looking to purchase the Celestron T-Ring Canon EOS (93419). Will the Celestron ring work with the Meade adpater, i.e.; screw onto the Meade T-Adapter (same threads?) etc... Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. Best Regards, Jay Johnson

A: Hello, Jay: Yes, the Celestron T-ring will work just fine with the Meade #62 T-adapter.

  • Q10: Hello. I am trying to mate a Canon Rebel XT digital SLR to my Celestron 11GPS telescope. Please advise me of the type of T-ring and T-adapter I need for this. Thanks.

A: You'll need a device like the Zhumell Universal T-adapter and a T-ring for Canon EOS. Here's the URL for the T-adapter; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-universal-t-adapter-1-25-inch-camera-adapter-30842.html. And here's the URL for the T-ring: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-t-ring-canon-eos-30838.html.

  • Q11: I recently bought a Canon Rebel XTi DSLR. I would like to mount it to my Celestron 6in reflector to take photographs through my scope. What parts do I need to accomplish this?

A: You will need a device like the Zhumell Universal T-Adapter, plus a T-Ring for Canon EOS.

  • Q12: Is this T-ring compatible with the olympus u700?

A: The T-Ring/T-Adapter setup only works with cameras that have removable lenses. Hence the Celestron T-Ring Olympus would not work with your camera. Instead, you'll want to use a device like the Zhumell Universal Digital Camera Adapter-Small. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/zhumell-universal-digiscoping-adapter-small-36562.html.

  • Q13: Is this the right T-ring for the new Sony alpha DSLR? I have the A-100.

A: Yes, the Celestron T-Ring for Minolta Maxxum will fit the Sony A-100.

  • Q14: Will this fit on an Olympus OM-10?

A: Yes, the T-Ring Olympus will fit an Olympus OM-10 camera.
