A: The field of view is 330 ft at 1000 yds so approximately 33ft @ 100 yds. the lower the level of magnification the wider the field of view.

The Leica Geovid combines the unmatched speed and accuracy of a Leica rangefinder with an ultra-high performance binocular – all in one compact and lightweight unit.

Conventional center-hinge design with a solid stainless steel axis pin and aircraft grade aluminum housing, merging rugged durability with minimal weight.
The unit is fully fogproof and also boasts Leica’s industry-leading waterproof submersion rating of 16.5ft.
The integrated rangefinder provides high target selectivity using the tightest and flattest laser beam in the industry, giving the user accurate readings from 10 yards to 1,300 yards.
Features Leica’s patented, bright red LED readout which auto-adjusts to outside light conditions and is always legible in any light condition.
Rangefinder is accurate within +/- 2 yards up to 765 yards and also includes a built-in rain and snow mode, giving the user readings in those less-than-ideal weather conditions.
Soft cushioned rubber eyecups can be adjusted to three different positions and can easily be removed for cleaning.
Five (5) year limited warranty on optics and rangefinder together.

leica geovid 8x56

I recently picked up a pair of Leica geovid 8x56.I also own swarovski slc 8x56 and zeiss victory II 8x56 and leica 5x50 trinovid's so a comparison was in order.First let me state that for day time veiwing the leica trinovids are superior followed by the swarovski,zeiss and the leica geovids(in that order).In low light conditions the leica geovid's equaled both the swarovski and zeiss 8x56 and all 3 were superior to the leica 8x50s in low light conditions.For astronomy the leica geovids really fell apart.The reflections of light inside the geovids actually allowed me to see reflections of the tiny circuit boards.However for hunting applications the geovids are perfect.They nearly equal the swarovski and zeiss for daytime viewing and are their equal in low light conditions.As a rangefinder they are superb.I was able to get readings of deer up to approx 800 yards and they worked very well under very low light conditions.

I would very highly recommend the geovids.I would never do without them and I see no longer see a need to carry the swarovski's or zeiss during hunting season.

Optics are first rate. Laser is accurate but limited to less than 1200 yards.

i recently purchased in new zealand for hunting and they are the best i have used,can glass for hours without straining my eyes and the clarity is unsurpassed!!! buy some!!!
