Description

The Yukon 6-100x100 is a revolutionary spotting scope that provides a high-quality image at magnifications ranging from 6 to 100x. For low magnification observation, the device utilizes the 25mm lens. Linear zooming allows magnification adjustments between 6x and 25x, but when a higher magnification is desired, the flip of a switch shifts the light path from one lens to the other. With the 100mm objective lens, zooming capabilities increase to 25-100x magnification.

The enormous light-gathering capability of the 100mm lens creates a bright and clear picture in nearly all viewing conditions, including twilight. In accordance to Yukon Advanced Optics' tradition, the Yukon 100x's design provides the user with power, quality, and comfort. To prevent viewing fatigue or discomfort, a specially designed, adjustable 90-degree rotating eyepiece can be used to suit the viewer's position from any angle, even when lying on the ground.

Both digital and photo camera adapters are available to be used with the Yukon 100x. The unit can accommodate both photographic and spotting scope tripods, and can double as a telescope for late night stargazing. The 100x is backed by Yukon's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

  • Features Dual objective lenses with a folded light path for compact size and light weight 6-100x zoom variable magnification
  • Table Top Tripod included. Digital camera adaptable with optional accessory
  • Eyepiece rotates 90 degrees for viewing from any angle
  • Lightweight with both 25mm and 100mm objective lenses for optimal performance
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty
  • Pair the Yukon 20-50x50 Spotting Scope with the Digital Camera Adapter (#29024) to transform the device into a high-powered photographic unit.

Body: With a simple flip of the switch, quality dual multi-coated objective lenses make it possible to view 6x-25x and 25x-100x magnifications. The internal optics, guarded by a durable composite body, are surprisingly lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport.

Optics/Performance: The Yukon 6-100x100 delivers crystal clear magnification from 6x to 100x with no distortion or loss of image quality. Yukon's engineers have achieved this exclusive capability by using two multi-coated objective lenses, one with a 25mm aperture and the other with a 100mm aperture. Both lenses share a common ocular lens, which allows for a smooth transition as the viewer adjusts the scope to the desired magnification.

I use it guiding Bear hunts, Mt Goat hunts, take it Sheep hunting! Unbelievably light weight. (Weighs only 3 lbs compared to Swarovskies 20x60 6 lb spotting scope!) Can be used at the top of mountains WITHOUT tripod! Large objective lenses are ideal for dusk and dawn viewing! Can see Bear tracks up in a snow field from the bottom of a mountain, and tell WHICH DIRECTION the bear tracks are going! My ONLY sugestion would be to bring a light weight nylon dry bag with you to put it in while camping in extream rainy conditions. (Wish it were totally waterproof) Like my swarovski 10x42 Binos! Thus far it has endured the rain on Kodiak pretty well... although I HAVE been babying it! Making sure it stays dry.I would recomend ths scope to ANYONE who loves wildlife photography, Hunting, Birding, or even star gazing! You can mount it to the window of a car for fast glassing. AND you can even get a camera adapter to fit it to your digital camera! Wendy A. Close Eskew Alaskan Wilderness Adventures (Kodiaks Wild Side!)

It is Ok one. The 6x25 is crisp clear but not on 60-100 range. I doubt there is a piece of metal on it. Everything is plastic. Being say that, it is light weight. The lens might be plastic too. It is good for wildlife viewing not really for Astronomy. Also it is not Made in China. It is made in Belarus. The turning knob is very coarse. But the one on eye piece is ok. The tripod is piece of junk. You can throw it into garbage can right the way. The carry bag is good though.

    • I Use For Celestial Purpo

Comments about Yukon 6-100x100 Angled Spotting Scope Kit:

I bought this Spotter Scope less than one month after purchasing the Zhumell Tachyon 25X100 Astronomical Binoculars for casual celestial viewing. I wanted to enjoy and relive my SUPRISE when acidentally (did not know it was even in my sky) viewing Saturn and it's rings through a 10X60 X60 spotter telescope almost thirty five years ago in my parent's front yard.

Well, the big heavy binoculars on the new Zhumell Astronomocal Tripod made it a breeze to spot and view Saturn, Venus and Jupiter along with four of it's moons. However, as crystal clear as the 25X binoculars are, their magnification does/did not match that from my Saturn/spotter scope experience from 35 years ago. Just NOT enough magnification.

So, I ordered this 100 magnification potential spotter scope to enhance my enjoyment of night time sky viewing. Well, this view of Saturn and it's rings are more of the size/magnification that I recall. But, 60-100 magnifications is not much of a visible difference at all, yet noticably larger than at 25 times magnigication.

So, this spotter scope really does offer the power and clarity described. I have certainly seen higher qualty leses with far superior claity at maximum magnifications, but at much higher prices.

Also, these celestial Binoculars definately present a brighter, cleaner and more vibrant view at equal (25X)magnification. After all there are two 100 mm lenses, one for each eye. That is a lot of light capture potential, kind of.
