Description

Multiply your power!

Barlow Lenses are now in use with thousands of amateur astronomers throughout the world. These lenses increase the power obtained with any given eyepiece, while maintaining excellent image quality. Precise corrections for spherical and chromatic aberrations at all photo-visual wavelengths result in sharp, high-resolution performance on telescopes of any optical design. Our Barlow Lenses are multi-coated for maximum contrast and light transmission.

Meade's #127 2X-3X variable Barlow Lens includes a precision, sliding lens assembly, permitting continuously variable power factor between 2X and 3X. Positive stops are provided at both ends of lens travel, and an engraved scale indicates the power in use. Clear aperture is 25mm, weight is 6.5 ounces, and the unit is 5 inches long. This popular, high-performance Barlow is recommended for use on telescopes with focal ratios of f/6 and longer. It is not recommended for use with Meade ETX-70/80/90/105/125 telescopes.

CHOKING HAZARD - small parts may pose a risk to children under 6 yrs.

Comments about Meade #127 2x-3x Variable Barlow Lens 1.25 Inch:

Telescopes rarely come with what's required to get good usage and proper viewings of objects other than the moon. Until they're giving us better options, this is a great buy!

Comments about Meade #127 2x-3x Variable Barlow Lens 1.25 Inch:

It's a good add on to my Telescope, however it does not increase my view as much as I wish, but it does help, it would be nice if there where instructino on how to change from 2X to 3.5X, but I have recieve the product as described.

Comments about Meade #127 2x-3x Variable Barlow Lens 1.25 Inch:

Bought this to extend the range of my current lenses. I'm new to telescopes, so I definitely need practice finding things with the Barlow attached, but already I can see that it's a great addition to my setup. This one's adjustable from 2x to 3x, which means I won't need to keep track of more than one size lens.

Comments about Meade #127 2x-3x Variable Barlow Lens 1.25 Inch:

Works well with f8 scope and swan eye pieces...up for 2x down for 2.5x and 3x. At 3 times the barlow may have to be pulled back out of the holder a bit....to get enough focus. Vary clear and well made....Would buy it again...vary crisp...

          2X-3X Barlow lens

          By Bruce McConnell

          from Undisclosed

Comments about Meade #127 2x-3x Variable Barlow Lens 1.25 Inch:

It's sold as if you can select 2X OR 3X, but where's the adjustment? One long tube, that is all. Almost impossible to use with the objective lens, but I am a novice.

Merchant Response: Magnification of the 2x-3x Barlow lens is changed by varying the depth to which the lens is inserted in the telescope focuser. The outside of the barrel has depth marks on it corresponding to the magnification achieved.

          Customer Q & A

Q1: Can I use this Barlow on my tasco telescope 500X4.5 Galaxsee, 1000mm, f/9?

A: Yes, the 2-3x Barlow should work fine on the scope. Bear in mind, though, that magnification "eats" light, so eyepieces that give marginal brightness at 2X will probably not work well at 3x.
