The Stereo Binocular Viewer allows you to adapt two eyepieces to your telescope and view with both eyes simultaneously. In addition to eliminating eye fatigue associated with viewing through one eye for a prolonged period of time, this 1.25-inch bino viewer also provides a three-dimensional effect when you're observing many celestial objects. In addition, it will improve contrast on deep-sky objects and solar system objects. The Stereo Binocular Viewer is designed to work with Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCT) and many refracting telescopes.
The Stereo Binocular Viewer requires you use two eyepieces of equal focal lengths and optical design. Your telescope will come with one or more eyepieces - you will need to purchase a matching eyepiece for use with the binoviewer.
High quality FMC BAK-4 prisms to reduce light loss Quality control inspected for collimation and performance.

Comments about Celestron Stereo Binocular Viewer:
After many cloudy snowy nights in Japan I finally got a chance to use it. Wow! after a bit of fine tuning it was quite a stunning view to see so much detail on the moon. I can't wait to use it to observe planets. Actually got a gasp out of my son who is just a bit interested in astronomy.
Stayed out in the cold for over an hour the view was so nice. Two eyes are much better than one!

Comments about Celestron Stereo Binocular Viewer:
This is what I wanted to pay for a good viewer. Paying for double the eyepieces is worth it. You can also use two different eyepieces and look through one at a time on an abject to compare to see which will work better at that time, then switch to the eyepiece with better seeing.
The stereo effect or 3D, is no joke - very cool!

Q1: Will Stereo Binocular Viewer make the image look upright? What I mean is, will I see the object from the ground upright instead of upside down?
A: Actually all that the Bino viewer will do is allow you to use both eyes while looking through the scope vs. just one.
Q2: Will this product work with reflection telescopes?
A: Yes it will fit onto a reflector telescope. You may want to purchase a diagonal to counteract the mirror on your telescope so that when you begin viewing with these, the image can project itself right-side up
