Telescope Carrying Case for Meade LX200GPS 10" and LX90 10 Inch
The case includes four lockable latches, three steel-reinforced handles, a 3" by 30" steel hinge and die-cut foam lining with compartments for telescope, eyepieces, finder scope and accessories. The finder scope must be removed from the telescope and placed in a special vinyl cover included with the case. The Meade Microfocuser on the GPS scope must also be removed and placed in a foam compartment in the case. Three thumbscrews are provided to replace the focuser's original mounting setscrews, for easy removal and reinstallation. The case can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels. An optional Large-Wheel Upgrade is available.
When used for the Meade LX90, the LNT Module and SmartFinder must be removed and stored in the case. An adapter bracket is included for instant accurate repositioning when attaching the LNT Module.
Outside dimensions of the case are approximately 36-1/2" x 24-3/4" x 16-5/8" and its empty weight is approximately 28.5 lbs. The shipping box is approximately 36-7/8" x 18-1/2" x 25-3/4" and the shipping weight is approximately 33.7 lbs.

although it might seem a bit pricey, it will protect your large investment. solid as a rock!

This case is dimensionally much smaller than the original Meade box and equipped with 3 handles and wheels. If you're using the original box, take my word for it this is so much more convienient! The case is well constructed and offers protection on par with the original shipping box/padding. I can now store my box in the attic!

After the purchase of my telescope I found that I needed to protectec my investment with a top of the line case. After my case arrived I was impressed with the construction of the case and was pleased to discover that my scope fit like a glove with no modification. It is my opinion that a case is a must purchase item when investing in a telescope and should be part of the purchase decision.
