Introducing the ultimate rigid dew shield made of lightweight welded aluminum and
powder-coated to dress any scope for the occasion. All of our shields are made of
durable welded-seam aluminum. The interior is felt-lined to reduce moisture and keep
extraneous light from reaching the optics.
Heavy duty threaded inserts and nylon thumbscrews assure a secure fit onto the corrector
plate rim. (No thumbscrews required for ETX series)

This item is of good quality, it just doesn't fit my Celestron NexStar 127SLT. I checked with the company to make sure this was the one I needed, and they assured me it was. I will be sending it back.

Aluminum dew shields such as these are the only ones that truly fit the corrector plate of the scope, leaving plenty of room for a dew heater behind it. Cosmetically more pleasing than a flexible tube, this shield is well flocked and wipes out light effects from surrounding areas when viewing. It is highly humid here and this shield postpones dew effects for hours. It is a perfect match with a dew heater, easily transferring heat to the corrector.

Definely a thing of beauty. Very well constructed out of aluminum with heavy paint coating to match the colors of most scopes ....Soft lined inside to help absorb moisture...finger screws and perfect fit hold it in place..quality fit..But then again you're paying for quality.
Helps keep out stray light be polluted light, bright moon lit nights..or even the bright milky way lit nights when going for deep sky....
Dew build-up on my SCT is null in the 365 day/ year humidity here in the Gulf Coast region.
First rate product.
