The iOptron Electronic Eyepiece allows you to view real-time images from your telescope on a computer screen. The iOptron iE Electronic Eyepiece transmits live video images of the Moon, Sun, planets and terrestrial objects through a USB cable to your computer. An electronic eyepiece...not an imager

Comments about iOptron iE3000 Electronic Eyepiece:

I had high hopes for this product given it's maximum resolution. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This was listed as an imager and my expectations were set as such, but it lacks a number of features necessary to make it a viable lunar and planetary imager.

The barrel is not threaded for filters or focal reducers. I tried a number of video capture applications (K3CCD, WxCapture, SharpCap, AmCap, and HandyAVI) and found that settings like Frame Rate, Gain, Brightness, Contrast, and Exposure are not sufficiently adjustable to capture enough data to stack a decent image.

As an electronic eyepiece for viewing the moon in a public or educational venue, it does a decent job. As far as imaging is concerned, your money is better spent on another product.
