Q1: Are the filters mounted in aluminum or plastic frames and do they thread onto the eyepieces?
A: The filters are mounted in aluminum rings and they thread into the eyepieces. All of the eyepieces in that kit are threaded for filters.
The kit truely is a good deal. Its a great way to really open up the use of your telescope. If you have any other questions, please let me know!
Q2: CAN YOU USE THE CELESTRON EYEPIECE AND FILTER KIT SPECIAL WITH ANY TELESCOPE OR CAN IT ONLY BE USED FOR CELESTRON TELESCOPE.
A: This kit uses the standard 1-1/4 inch format eyepiece and will work with any telescope brand. Generally all telescopes use the standard 1-1/4 inch format eyepieces. This kit is a wonderful package.
Q3: i just want to make sure that this kit will work on a meade ..i am very new to this stuff ...astronomy that is ..thanks for all replys .
A: Yes, the kit will work on any telescope that accepts the standard 1-1/4 inch format eyepieces. Most of the Meade and all other brands of scopes will accept these eyepieces. It is a great kit!
Q4: Is Sun filter inclused?
A: No I am sorry but there is not a solar filter included but you do get a moon filter.
Q5: What should the first lenses I buy be after I get a lens kit? An LPR filter? Deep Sky filter? UV/IR cut-off filter? Something else? What "luxury" lens should I purchase first?
A: There really is no specific lens that you should buy. What will happen is there may be a time that you realize you want to reach a different level of magnification or for certain things require a larger field of view so using the eyepiece magnification formula (focal length of telescope divided by the millimeter of the eyepiece equals magnification) you will be able to determine what works the best for you and what size eyepiece you may want. It will be the same type of thing with the filters, what gives you the best contrasts are the lights in your area affecting your view etc... there is no exact science as to what you will need or want.
Q6: I have a Meade ETX 90 EC and I want to buy some accesories like the table tripod and some eye pieces. When I proceed to checkout there is a dialog that says that you can`t ship Meade products outside US. What accesories can you send me to Chile that would fit my telescope?
A: The items that will work with that scope besides eyepieces and filters which are universal you will need to get from a dealer in your country.
Q7: Which line(E-Lux, Omni, etc.) are these eyepieces from?
A: These are the Omni Line.
Q8: Hi,
Could you please which of the following kits that you are currently selling contain the better quality eyepieces? Is it the Zhumell 1.25 eyepiece & filter kit or the Celestron eyepiece and filter kit.
Thanks for your help in this.
Regards
Brian
A: Actually both kits contain Plossl Eyepieces the optics in both are very similar to each other. However the better deal is the Celestron Eyepiece and Filter kit as you get 1 more eyepiece and 1 more filter than you do with the Zhumell, but either package is a great way to start.

Q14: I have a Bushnell 4.5 in Northstar telescope will this work with it?
A: Yes, the Celestron Eyepiece & Filter Kit will work just fine with the Bushnell 4.5-inch Northstar telescope. It will be a good match.
Q15: How long will this be on sale. Will it be cheaper at christmas time.
A: The sale is a Celestron special, and we're not sure how long they will run it. We doubt, however, that it will be till Christmas.
Q16: WILL THE EYEPIECES WORK WELL WITH ZHMELL PERIGEE 100 MAKSUTOV CASSEGRAIN TELESCOPE?
A: All but the 4mm eyepiece will work well with the Zhumell Perigee telescope. The 4mm ocular will produce 250X magnification with the Perigee's 1,000mm focal length. That exceeds the 236X maximum useful magnification level of the scope.
Q17: how much does the kit weigh??
A: The Celestron Eyepiece & Filter Kit weighs about 5.25 pounds.
Q18: What are the eye reliefs for the eyepieces in this kit?
A: Eyepieces in the Celestron Kit have eye relief as follows:
4mm Eyepiece -- 6mm eye relief
6mm Eyepiece -- 5mm eye relief
9mm Eyepiece -- 6mm eye relief
15mm Eyepiece -- 13mm eye relief
32mm Eyepiece -- 22mm eye relief
Q19: Can I mix and match/stack this product?
A: You are able to switch the filters around and use them on any of the eyepieces. The barlow lens that comes with this kit can accept any of the eyepieces and filters. The eyepieces are the only thing that cannot be used together at the same time, unless you were to have a flip mirror system for photography.
