Meade's Series 4000 Plossl 9mm illuminated reticle eyepiece is the most advanced product of its type on the market. It features micrometric x-y positioning controls that greatly facilitate locking onto a guide star. Simply turn the finely-threaded controls and place the reticle's crossline pattern precisely at the desired position in the field.

The reticle pattern is a double crossline with two concentric circles. Sharp, high-power imaging of the four-element, multi-coated, Plossl optical system is complemented by a rubber eyecup (foldable for eyeglass wearers) that shuts out distracting stray light. The upper lens section of the eyepiece rotates on a fine thread for precise diopter adjustment.

This wireless model includes a red LED illuminator with brightness control that's operated by internal batteries (included).
