Description

These narrowband filters are for viewing nebulae in the deep sky under a dark sky or a sky with some light pollution.  They filter out specific wavelengths of light to create a high contrast to make nebulae clearer and more visible, where normally, we may not be able to see it with our eyes alone.

        I have an Meade ETX-60 backpack with only about 2.6" apeture. When using in light polluted city viewing. I have been able to see planetary nebula such as The Great Orion, Bumbbell, Ring, and Lagoon nebulas. These nebulas I haven't before seen from my yard in town. Only from dark site viewing many miles out of town. This filter is well worth the money.

            I bought this filter to help out with the light pollution problem caused by living in the suburbs. When I first received this filter, I tried it out on one of the easier nebula to observe. The Lagoon Nebula. I was very suprised on how well this filter brought out this nebula. I am very pleased with this product and its performace as a filter as well.

              I read a lot of Internet articles about uhc filters. They said this one was cheap, but works ok. So, I tried it out, and it is very helpful. I have a lot of skyglow in my area, so without the filter all I could see of the Lagoon Nebula was the brightest area. With the filter it is much better, I can see the "Lagoon." Many other nebula's became visible with the filter. So, considering the price I am very happy.
