This filter, excells at finding Nebulas! It darkens everything but the specific wave length of Nebulas. Allowing you to quickly locate them in a darkened sky. I use a 50mm eyepiece with a 70-80% field of view, until I locate one and then zoom in with a higher magnification eyepiece, like a 9mm. Works great to find those not too bright nebulas, hiding amongst bright stars. Very satisfied with fit,finish and price.

I have not had the opportunity to use this on any nebula yet, so I can't say whether it enhances those views. Also, I am told that filters perform best from dark sky sites, which I have not tried yet. So, it seems like a solid piece of glass and doesn't feel cheap. I just have not gotten to use it on good targets yet.

I can't recommend this, at this time, purely because I do not know.

This filter did a great job reducing the moon's glare, without washing out the details. I haven't tried it on nebulas yet (too much light in the backyard), but it did reduce the sky glow when viewing open clusters, and when I held it to my eye and looked at the street lights. The filter doesn't fit well with my Meade eyepiece, but it works well enough.
