Connected to an 8" LX200. This is the minimum size scope because of the size and weight. Very smooth focusing and can hold the weight of larger DSLR cameras. Well baffled inside with a very flat painted surface. A professionally made piece of equipment.

This is a nice focuser, which appears to be well made. It works pretty well in my telescope. Just a few caveats:
1. The one I received is a little stiff, with a noticeable stiff spot as you rotate the large knob. It is stiffer than other Crayford-style focusers I have used. It may get better with usage however. The stiff spot is much less noticeable with the fine focus knob, however.
2. For use on Celectron scopes (I have and Edge 11 SCT), you will need a diagonal without the attachment ring. The stock diagonal cannot be used with it (at least I couldn't figure out how to do it).
3. The unit is a little on the heavy side, but I didn't find that to be a problem. I just moved the scope further forward on the mount.
4. In practice, focusing is very satisfactory. I do coarse focusing with the mirror focus knob, with the Zhumell set to its midpoint, lock the mirror, and then use the Zhumeell for all of my eyepieces.

      Keep the box. Not to return but to keep this beauty cozy. Yes, it is huge but when you turn the dial (s) it feels as a good as anything costing much more. The time factor and frustration that this unit eliminates is worth it. Don't miss the next image or view between clouds due to image shift or waiting for things to settle down from shaking. If only we had perfect skies every night...I have it mounted on a CPC 11" and I could not be happier. Adding a DSLR adds even more weight so I have a couple lbs of soft lead weight on the front of the tube to keep things balanced for the fork mount. I align the scope then mount the gear. [@] Rocks!

      I own an 1989 Meade 2080LX and purchased this focuser to correct the mirror shift and slack in the factory focuser. The Zhumell focuser works great and has fully solved my shifting issues. Also, the slow control has allowed me to focus in highpowered eyepieces that i could not focus in before.

      Q1: Will this work a Meade LX90?

      A: Yes. The Zhumell SCT Dual Speed Focuser is fully adaptable to your Meade LX90.

      Q2: What is the diameter of the threaded end that attaches to the telescope?

      A: It comes with an adapter so the diameter will either be 1.25inch or 2inch depending on what will work with your scope.

      Q3: Would this item be beneficial with a NexStar 8SE? I didn't see any reviews mentioning the NexStar telescopes. How will it improve my viewing?

      A: The SCT focuser allows you to fine focus with very little vibration and no image shift. We highly recommend this to anyone buying an SCT telescope.
