I needed something that was adjustable and comfortable, and I didn't think a stool would do it. While this chair is pricey, it is perfect for stargazing with my 8" Dobsonian Reflector. As I search the skies, my height needs change based on the angle of my scope. This chair does that wonderfully, giving a very comfortable seat while viewing the heavens. I would have given it 5-stars, but moving the seat up is difficult and requires two hands and your feet. If they had added flared feet on the front legs, this problem would be solved as you could step on it while moving the seat up. Perhaps their next generation will address this. Overall, an excellent chair for stargazing that easily folds up for storage or travel.

This chair is well made, sturdy but HEAVY!! I guess it has to be heavy to achieve the weight rating. Adjusts easily and is fairly comfortable; I wish there was more padding in the seat though. I also wish the portions of legs that contact the ground were covered with some kind of material & not just the ends which are capped. Costy thing but it does seem to be well made & easy to put together. Beats my stool for gazing for sure.
