Astro Aimer's green laser is perfect for pinpointing star locations as well as any other pointing needs.  The two-color LED flashlights are ideal for any indoor and outdoor illuminations. Its multi functions make Astro Aimer a very useful tool for astronomers, educators, hikers, campers, any outdoor goers, rescuers, law enforcement, military and many more.

 

High Output Green Laser with Automatic Power Control Circuit
True 5mW high power green laser, 532nm wavelength.  Green laser is 20 times brighter than red laser at the same output power as perceived by human eyes. The extremely visible green laser line allows audience about 3 meter radius around you, to clearly follow the laser line to the exact pointed star.

 

The Astro Aimer has built-in feedback circuit which constantly monitors the laser output power to keep the laser output stable.  The control allows the laser to operate more stable at wider temperature range under colder or warmer ambient temperature.

 

Laser ON Light Indicator
When laser is turned on, the blue LED light under laser switch glows dimly to signal you the device is on so you will not accidentally point the laser to others or yourself

 

Variable Brightness Modes Red LED
Total of 3 brightness modes.  Low and intermediate modes for map reading, and high brightness mode (4,000 mcd) for night illumination without disrupting other stargazers’ dark adapted vision. Activate the red light modes by turning front flashlight cap counter-clockwise.

 

3 High Efficient White LEDs
Provide true color and bright illumination (apx. 21,000 mcd total), best tool for packing up, searching for lost items, identifying colored items, and field illumination. Activate the white light by turning front flashlight cap clockwise.

 

Voltage regulated power control circuit keeps both Red and White LEDs perform at a constant brightness. The circuitry keeps the LEDs operate at its maximum brightness until minimum voltage cut off point (4 volt). LED brightness does not decay according to the battery drain like other battery powered flashlights.

 

Knurled LED Flashlights Switch Control
The knurled flashlight cap can be easily operated with a thick glove in a cold night.  Also the distinguishable detentes on each light mode can help you to operate in the dark.

 

Easy Telescope Aiming Adjustment
Time delayed laser switch frees both your hands for adjusting your telescope aiming without holding the laser ON button like other green pointers.

- 1” diameter fits most existing 6x30 finder scope mounts or on our TLM02-MT laser mount.
- 1 standard ¼”-20 screw hole ready for any tripod or ball mount.

    I'm a multi-tool type of guy. Leatherman is my favorite multi-tool. This two color flashlight and green laser is very nice and has earned its place on my belt. The only negative is that the belt sheath supplied with the unit does not look exactly like the photo and is blue. All my other belt accessories are black. Not noted in the description is that the white light utilizes three of the LED's and the red occupies the fourth LED. The laser occupies the central hole. The white is one intensity only. The red is three intensities as described, but with only one LED, the first two levels are not much to look at. The third level is the only one I use to navigate the dark outdoors. Also not mentioned but a really good feature is the audible click from zero intensity up to the highest level. Battery access is easy. Nicely sealed off. Last item not clearly noted in the description is that the on button for the laser activates the laser for one minute. The laser turns off automatically unless the on button is pushed again. The off button works as expected. I guess the one minute level is to conserve battery power. At first I wanted a continuous on, but got used to this feature. Overall, highly recommend. Oh, its great for pointing out stars and constellations. Even on moon lit nights. The beam is cool.

        It has the hefty, substantial feel of a quality tool in your hand. Everything works as advertised. The green laser seems to touch the star you're pointing at. And the reds are perfect for preserving night vision. The area that the white LED covers really helps at the end of the evening in cleaning up. All this and only three AAA batteries. This tool is truth in advertising.

          It's a little bit too much effort to turn the LEDs on. Some people might find it very hard. This might be limited to the particular flashlight I recieved and others might be easier. It's not a huge factor though. Great product.

            I needed a laser that is bright, powerful, and could easily be seen all the way up to the star that I point to. Keep in mind that the batteries and flashlight are new, but we are all impressed with the performance of the laser. The various brightness levels of the red light are useful as you want to use the lowest brightness possible while still seeing the charts. The white light is very bright, but that is ok as you don't use it until you are done for the night, and don't want to leave any of your expensive eyepieces behind.
