Q1: Does this cable work with the ds 2130at model sold at wal-mart stores?

A: you will actually want to use the #506 AstroFinder Software and Cable Connector Kit for ETX 70AT and DS2000 Series

Q2: Is there a USB connector Cable set or is serial the only option?

A: You would need to get the model #07507 USB to RS-232 cable along with the #505. It will depend specifically on what telescope you are trying to connect though as to what cables will work properly.

Q3: will this work on a Meade NGC-60 telscope

A: I am sorry but no as the Auto star in the NGC's will tell you where to point the scope versus actually moving the scope for you.

Q4: Will this set work with a 25 pin serial port? My lap top does not have a 9 pin port. The Meade website says it connects to either a 9 or 25 pin, but from the picture and discription it seems to only work for a 9 pin.

The Meade #505 Connector Cable Kit allows you to control your telescope from a PC. When used with #505 AstroFinder software (not included), your #497 Autostar-equipped, ETX telescope can be remotely controlled from the PC's display. Then simply point and click your way to any object shown on the computer screen, and the telescope will automatically slew around and place the object in your field of view.

6-foot, 4-pin-to-6-pin, telephone-style cable extension

DB-9, 6-pin- to-RS232, serial interface adapter
The kit will work with ETX 90/105/125 telescopes.
