Q1: Will this focuser work with a Meade LXD-75 8" SCT?

A: We don't believe the Celestron Electronic Focus motor will work with the LXD75, at least not as an off-the-shelf conversion. Meade has not made an electronic focus motor yet to fit the LXD75 scopes.

Q2: Can you add a longer cable to control this auto focuser?

A: Celestron does not offer a longer cable. You might be able to find one at an electronic store, but beware of voiding the warranty.

Power assist!
A focus motor for Celestron 8 inch, and 11 inch SCT telescopes allows you to focus your scope electronically, instead of manually. The motorized focuser eliminates the possibility of bumping or shaking the telescope when focusing. Motor speed is variable, making fine focusing a snap.
Please note: this item will work with the Celestron 8i but is not recommended, as its operation will be obstructed by the tripod.
