"Last June I bought your Wheeley Bars for my 16" Meade LightBridge. Needless to say, they have been fantastic. I use the scope at least ten times as much now as I did before putting it on the Wheels. Any time I want to observe, I just wheel it out of the garage and I'm ready within a couple of minutes! No re-collimating needed! Contrast that with moving the heavy scope out by hand in three parts, putting it together and re-collimating. This process had been a real deterrent to using the scope—not to mention disassembling it at night, cold and sleepy. I had considered spending $$$ on an observatory shelter but using the Wheeley Bars is so much better, and incredibly cost-effective. But you know all this! Your simple invention has re-opened the world of astronomy for me. And my neighbors—any time it's going to be a good star night I send out an email and they come over. Thanks again." (T. P. W. Jr.)

Comments about Jims Mobile (JMI) Wheeley Bars for Meade 16 Inch LightBridge:
Got my wheelie bar and was so excited about it I helped deliveryman unload it off the truck. I waited to put it together until after the kids went to bed so i would not have to answer 100 questions about it!
I unpacked all the parts and went looking for the assembly instructions. Found them. Let's put those aside until we run into problems. In short, everything went together well EXCEPT the rear wheels and one of the leveling screws.
The rear wheels needed a little more encouragement than the front ones did. The shafts were a little larger than front axles, which went on easy, and a tight fit for the bearings on the wheels. After discovering the delimma I moved to see if I had the wheels swapped. That didn't seem to be the case. All four wheels fit the front axles with a loose fit and the back axles with a tight fit. Then, I had to enlist little assistance from a 3# mallet which worked wonderfully. Those wheels are on so tight they don't need pins to keep them one but, we'll use them just them same.
The other issue I ran into was I could not insert the leveling screw into one of the rear threaded holes. I looked thru the hole and saw something unique. It looked like a broken fingernail sticking out. I got a pair of needlenose pliers and removed what i could and had to buy a 1/2 inch tap to smooth the burr. Installation went without a hitch. For all that I removed a star these being quality issues in my opinion.
I can't wait until my scope arrives to use it ( slated for arrival 21july2012). And already have ideas for a modification.
