Before purchasing these pads, every time I went to observe I had a little wobble in the eyepiece, even with my lowest power! After getting these rock-steady pads and placing them underneath my MiniTower, all vibration was gone, even when slow-slewing to center on my target. These are a must-have for anyone with a telescope! (Maybe they'll get to the point when they can make them part of every tripod and mount?!!) I'm not yet at the point where I want to experiment with astrophotography, but when I do, these little nuggets will be standard with every session. Did I mention they were rock-steady???!!!!

These vibration pads make a big difference is photography applications. They also add a visible benefit to observation tracking. I would agree with the product description that the pads dampen vibration from on board telescope motors. I used mine while observing from a deck and the pads helped reduce vibration from little feet.

The best thing is that they effectively reduce vibrations to a very negligible amount. Great for astrophotography especially on rooftop. The only thing I didn't like that the pads slpped on concrete surface.
