The Sphinx Half Pillar adds almost 21cm/8ﾼ" height to the system - providing increased observing comfort for zenith observations through long focal length telescopes. For observation and astrophotography in the region close to the equator, the use of the SX Half Pillar is recommended to prevent the balance weight shaft from colliding with the tripod.
