This is a nice way to take the work out of hauling around a huge telescope! I purchased a Zhumell Z12 Dobsonian and it fits perfectly. Assembly was easy and no modifications are needed for this brand and model. Careful that you don't bang the primary mirror end of your OTA into the rear tires or rear stop studs. This will happen if you have the telescope pointing toward the handle end and are trying to use it. Turn it around and it works just fine. Be sure to check the finished dimensions before you purchase. You can do this at the manufacturer's website. This way, you will know whether or not it will go through the doorways you are intending on pulling it through. Also, there is quite a bit of slop on the rear tire shafts. You might want to add some washers to take up some space to eliminate tire wobble. Overall, it is a nice item to have. There are three things I would do..First, put some rubber grips on the t-handle. This would make pulling in cold weather a little more comfortable. Second, shorten the all-thread on the stop studs. I plan to do this, as they are way too long for the job they do. Third, the price is really high for someone trying to save a little money...After all, isn't that why you bought a Dobsonian? To get the most light-gathering power for your money?

Hayneedle was excellent as usual about how they handled the shipment. Processing was a little discouraging, because the item still showed "In Fulfillment" when it was delivered. I never got a tracking number and when I questioned this, I was told I would receive an answer within 24 hours. I'm still waiting. Oh-well.

This is a stable platform to move your big scope. The handle is not long enough & DON'T leave it laying on the ground in the dark... you'll only trip over it. The turning radius is wide, since the 10" wheels hit the frame when turning.

After a month of carrying my Zhumell 10 inch Dobsonian telescope outside for viewing, my back started hurting. Guess I'm not as young as I thought. The Wheely Bars changed all that. Assembly was easy. I did have to move one of the feet on the mount about one inch. Now I just wheel the scope from the garage across the grass and I'm ready to view in 5 minutes. Telescopes.com and JMI have been great.

I recently purchased the Meade Lightbridge 12" dobsonian telescope, and purchased the JMI wheeley bars at the same time. The telescope is big and heavy enough that I am sure I would soon find it a hassle to try to carry it out in peices and set it up. With the wheeley bar, it stays assembled in my garage, on the wheeley bars. When I want to observe, I simply wheel it out on to the driveway or out onto the lawn (the wheels are big enough that it can go just about anywhere). Instant observing! This product has greatly enhanced the useability of my dobsonian telescope.

The product itself is very heavy-duty, well constructed, and is well designed. I have no negative comments, only positive.

If you have a big dob, the JMI wheeley bars are an essential tool. Highly recommended!
