    OK since I had the same problem as someone else who posted here I figured the product was flawed. As it turns out it has two dots a white one and a red one. If you align with the white one (like any lens I've ever used) it doesn't lock. But if you use the red one it does. Sorry for the incorrect info in the previous review.

    This item is made with heavy-duty metal enough to hold a heavy camera in place. However, extra care must be taken when attaching to a T-adapter. This T-Ring has double threads that attaches to camera and to a T-adapter. It attaches to the T-adapter in counterclockwise fashion, and in a clockwise fashion with the camera.

    The problem starts once the whole setup is attached to the back of the telescope. Before you take that great picture of that nebula, you have to adjust your camera setting. Adjusting it requires you to hold the camera while it is attached to the back of your telescope. Holding your camera alone is enough to loosen the camera-to-T-Ring connection. If you do not tighten the connection right away before starting to take pictures, your risk of dislodging your expensive camera is increased.

    This product is still functional, but you just have to take extra care and make sure that all the connections are tight before taking picture.

                  A: Yes we can ship to Canada, and this T-ring should fit just fine as it is designed for Nikon cameras.

                  Q2: I have a nikon D70 camera. I am considering the purchase of a telescope that I can use in conjunction with my D70. Any advice?

                  A: My suggestion would be to think about what will be viewed the most Lunar & Planetary, or Deep space. If Lunar & planetary i suggest a refractor the bigger the lens the better or if Deep space a reflector again the bigger the better.

                  Q5: i have a swift 841 with a telephoto adaptor take has approx 1 5/8 in male threads to fit a nikon t-ring. will this one fit.
