Description

Reduces the effective focal length of the VC200L to about 71% for prime-focus imaging (with Direct Wide Photo Adapter 60 and T-Ring or Camera Adapter 43 and T-Ring). Shortens focal length from 1800mm (f/9) to 1278mm (f/6.4). The reducer is 38mm thick and has 56mm diameter threads with a pitch of 0.75mm.

Comments about Vixen f/6.4 Focal Reducer for VC200L Telescope:

Dedicated adapter for VC200L yields flat field, f6.4, and sharp stars with minimal vignetting over APS-sized field (vignetting is a big problem for SCT focal reducers). It is Vixen M60 threaded so it goes directly into focuser in place of normal eyepiece clamp but then needs an additional adapter at the back to interface with your camera (it is photo only, not visual) and that is more $ and instructions are lacking. The VC200L is primarily a (very good) photoscope, so you really need this for versatile and quality astrophotography. Reducer is a little pricy once adapters are added, but there is no substitute.
