Description

If you want to do long exposures (over 5 minutes) in Alt/Az mode without a wedge, you can correct for field rotation (which results from the scoep not rotating on the same axis that the earth does) with Meade's Field De-Rotator.  Attaches to the rear cell of your scope to precisely counter the effects of Alt/Az-induced field rotation.

CHOKING HAZARD - small parts may pose a risk to children under 6 yrs.

Derotator rather heavy

Comments about Meade #1220 Field De-Rotater for 7/8/10/12/14 Inch LX200 Telescope Models:

I bought this for my 10" LX200GPS for use with my DSI PRO II. The problem is with the weight of it, I've becomes very tricky to muck with the scope (like switch filter slides for the camera) without accidentally nudging it out of alignment, and that becomes quite annoying. Hopefully, I'll get the hang of it.
