HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS NO GOOD FOR VISUAL USE IN AN 8 INCH F/10 SCT.EVERYTHING I HAVE READ STATED THAT IT IS YET THERE IS NOT ENOUGHT TRAVEL TO BRING TO FOCUS WHEN INSTALLED USING A 2" DIAGONAL.AND DEFINATELY NOT WHEN TRYING TO USE A BINO VIEWER. HUGE DISAPOINTMENT.

Comments about Meade Telescope f/6.3 Focal Reducer/Field Flattener:
I was happy to find an enclosed instructional paper inside the box for this focal reducer! That makes all the difference for those of us who don't have the experience of using one. Very informative, even for a beginner! Easy to understand as well.

Q1: I have a 10" LX200 1/6.3 wide field. I also have a 6.3 focal reducer someone gave me. Do I need or can I use this focal reducer when doing astrophotographer with a digital camera? Or is this a dumb question?
A: you definitely can use but there really is no need as you have sucha fast focal ratio as it is.
