    Power plug a good idea for when near plugs. Connection to battery heads a little flaky, but OK. Be careful not to tangle the scope, as it will stop if the cord gets wrapped around the unit. A little pricey but worth it. Was not an accessory when I ordered (found on other review).

    This was a great ac adapter it's going to save me lots of batteries. However the part you plug into the wall is very bulky so just make sure you have pleny of room. Also the one I recived was 25 feet not 4 feet so I had plenty of cord. Very good cord and recommend to save cash on batteries.

          Worked great with my ETX-80 and DS2130 telescopes! No more batterys to use!! Only down fall about it is? It get cot around when the scopes get moving!! Have to keep picking up over!!

          A: absolutely, the #546 is designed to work with the DS2000 series of scopes

          Q2: Is this cord compatible with the Meade ETX-70?

          A: Yes the ETX-70 is one of the scopes they designed this for.

          A: Unfortunately, the Meade #546 AC Adapter for ETX70/ETX80/DS-2000/NG Series will not work with your Bushnell North Star telescope. The Bushnell telescope is powered by a 9-Volt battery; there is no provision for an outside power source.

          Q5: I have to use batteries with this adapter or I just plug it with the battery piece?

          A: It is not necessary to use batteries with the Meade #546 AC Adapter.
