Well out of the box everything looked all together. Everything in it's place. Made sure nothing was broken ect. ect. Everything was cool. Did notice the similarities between my Zhumell stock 9mm and the Celestron 9mm from the kit. Identical. You tell me. but lets move on. It comes with a lot of stuff you're gonna use, at least to get you started. The 32mm is great for wider FOV's and galaxies like M31. The 15mm is great for just observing as well is the 9mm. The 6mm and 4mm are more for Testing the limits of your scope. I actually use them to dial in my finder when I'm shooting pics. Works really well. The filters do what they do. Enhance colors to see detail, but the moon filter I feel isn't dark enough. All in All im pleased. The case is sturdy the ep's are sturdy and I don't have to worry about anything. Also the barlow does it's job very well. In the end this is definitely a beginner ep set if you just want to fill in some ep slots.

If you don't already have an eyepiece assortment,this is a great way to go.I'm rather picky and I'm pleased with every part.Also the case,while plastic,is well designed well built,with room for more toys as you collect them.

Bought my first telescope last year, an Astromaster 114. These eye pieces are great to have. Love the 2x barlow lens. I dont really like the 6mm eyepiece because its kind of hard to look into but using the 13mm with the 2x lens works great to achieve roughly the same magnification. I was able to view Jupiter very nicely and even got some compliments from my neighbors on how cool my little set up is. I've played around with some of the color filters but not enough to know if they really enhance what they say their supposed to. I liked the moon filter. Took away the glare of the moon but still kept perfect color and clarity. Overall this is a great set for the beginner astronomer and I plan on using it for years to come.

Great product for the price, I did purchase it @ 40% off and free shipping, but it has been cloudy and cold so I have not actually used it yet.

Q1: Are the filters mounted in aluminum or plastic frames and do they thread onto the eyepieces?
A: The filters are mounted in aluminum rings and they thread into the eyepieces. All of the eyepieces in that kit are threaded for filters. The kit truely is a good deal. Its a great way to really open up the use of your telescope. If you have any other questions, please let me know!

A: This kit uses the standard 1-1/4 inch format eyepiece and will work with any telescope brand. Generally all telescopes use the standard 1-1/4 inch format eyepieces. This kit is a wonderful package.
