The Meade 8-24x Zoom eyepiece is part of the famous 4000 Series. Incorporating seven-element, multi-coated optics, these eyepieces are the gold standard in telescope oculars.

The 8-24X Zoom eyepiece yields 79X to 238X magnification with a Meade ETX-125 telescope. At the same time, it offers the widest-possible field of view - 55 degrees at 8 mm - consistent with pinpoint edge-of-field sharpness and long eye relief. It also produces extremely low astigmatism, spherical aberration, and off-axis color. Incorporating seven-layer multi-coatings and edge-blackened optics for optimum image contrast, it permits levels of optical performance generally impossible to achieve with eyepieces having fewer elements.
