I got this 4.7 mm Ultra Wide lens after I had purchased a Super Wide Meade 5000 series 24 mm lens. That one was superb with clear crisp images. The 4.7 mm gives high magnification with my 10" Dob, with 1250 mm focal length. Unfortunately, for stars, the view was not as well defined, clear or bright enough to have gained anything by using this lens. However, viewing the moon, with its higher intensity, did give a good image. One could almost see the individual boulders on the surface.
Though the lens is well made, the cover kept falling off as it was too loose.
Value wise, the lens is worth the money but the 4.7 mm is at the upper end of magnification and so suffers from critical focusing and short depth of field. The aperture, 82 degrees, was great.

I purchased the 18mm,14mm and 8.8mm. I have used them in my 8" LX200 and my 16" f4.5 Dob. Even at f10(LX200) that big view is there. Images stay clear and crisp to the edges. The deep black background enhances the contrast and clarity of many objects. In my Dob, they perform beyond what I had hoped for. There is coma, but that is not the eyepiece. Adjustable eye cups are OK. I don't like that grease they put on them,not so sure how they would do in the cold. They appear to be well made but time will tell just how well. They are heavy so if your Dob is on the edge, these just may push it over.
To me, these are excellent DSO eyepieces . That Big View is there. You can let your eyeball wander. Open Clusters remain crisp to the edges, DSOs are greatly enhanced, The 8.8MM really stood out for DSOs, The 18mm is outstanding in either scope.

I also used them on Saturn, Venus, Mars, and a full moon. I prefer my plossls for that, but the UWA angles are pretty freakin good on the planets as well. I viewed the full moom (with a filter) With the UWA, it is an experience. As planetary EPs, these would also serve well.
They aren't cheap, that's for sure, but the price as compared to other premium brands makes these a fairly good value still. I hope to enjoy them for many years.
