The Tele Vue Panoptic Eyepiece series offers the best in telescopic viewing. These lower-power, wide-field eyepieces are a meaningful advance over any eyepiece in the 68-degree field class. The Panoptic's six-element, four-group optical design offers sharp, high-contrast images. Excellent color correction keeps the images true, and fully multi-coated optics provide optimum light allowance for a clearer, brighter view. With Panoptics, you are sure to get the most out of your telescope.
Panoptic 41mm
The 41mm Panoptic eyepiece is a big brother to the 24mm Panoptic (largest 1.25" field). With its 46mm field stop, the 41mm Panoptic delivers the largest 2" field possible. An adjustable and removable screw-type top allows quick, comfortable eye positioning. The scalloped shape gives a positive grip.
Panoptic 35mm
The 35mm has a large true field with plenty of eye relief for eyeglass wearers. When combined with a Paracorr to correct the coma of an f/4.5 Newtonian, performance is spectacular across the 68 degree field. Imagine, sharp star clusters at the extreme edge of the field along with a 6.8mm exit pupil!
Panoptic 27mm
Housed in a 2" barrel like the 35mm, the 27mm is lighter & smaller. It's perfect for any telescope size, type or speed, where a little more magnification is desired, yet still allows full field viewing with eyeglasses. For example, with the Tele Vue-102, it gives 33x and a true field of 2 degrees!
Panoptic 24mm
This Sky & Telescope “Hot Product for 2003” is designed to produce the largest true field possible in a 1-1/4" eyepiece. (Its 27mm field stop is the same as the 32mm Tele Vue Plössl). The higher power darkens the sky background while the greater magnification yields more details on extended objects. Further, its light weight (1/2 lb.), comfortable 15mm eye relief, and tapered top instantly make the 24mm Panoptic the ideal eyepiece for getting the maximum field for binocular viewers.
Panoptic 19mm
Size, weight and performance make the 19mm an ideal mid power chioce. Ideal "soul-mate" to Bino Vue. Parfocal with 15mm and other smaller Plössls and Naglers.

Comments about TeleVue Panoptic Telescope Eyepieces:
I recently purchased a 8" Celestron C8, and other than a couple of 1.25" eyepieces that came with the scope, I did not have any premium eyepieces to use. I originally ordered a Baader Click Zoom eyepiece, but then after trying a Televue Panoptic 41mm I decided to switch my order and buy this Televue Panoptic 35mm. While it's not a Nagler or Ethos, I feel this eyepiece is a great starting point for my collection. The field of view, while smaller than the Nagler or Ethos, is still great and a big improvement over my other eyepieces. I combined the Panoptic with a Baader Clicklock Diaganol and Eyepiece holder, and I intend to buy a Televue Nagler 26mm and a Televue 2x Barlow. These should give me a good range of options with only two eyepieces. Compared to the other eyepieces I've tried made by Celestron and Explorer Scientific, I can say the Televue is without question a better eyepiece. The difference is noticeable to even to an amateur like myself. With the limited number of viewing nights, and poor conditions common to my location, I think the 35mm provides sufficient magnification for most occasions.

Q1: Are the Panoptics the best choice for use with a cadiotropic scope?
A: The Panoptic eyepieces are one of the best eyepiece lines we carry. They offer sharp contrast and when coupled with the optical design of a catadioptric telescope, you will be getting ultimate clarity and light transmission.
