First off the first thing you will notice about this 6mm zhumell eyepiece if you are up grading from plossl is the shear size its is 3 times as tall as a 10mm. This is not a bad thing to me however bc it only reassures "me" that it's a well made eyepiece with awesome optics and it is. Now If your anything like me and want to see close up images of Jupiter, Saturn (and you have a similar telescope to mine F1650mm D130mm f/5) then you might want to think about getting am eyepiece that is a little bit stronger then the 6mm bc I wasn't able to get as close as I wanted to with the 6mm but I was still able to see very faintly the rings on Saturn and Jupiter's moons! And the picture was crystal clear just not close enough so ive already ordered the 3mm zhumell planetary eyepiece which should put me right where I want to be!

I have all of these eyepieces except the 3 mm , they are real nice oculars, and especially for the price. This review is for the 18mm. It is not parfocal with the others,it has a shorter eye relief, and it is not sharp to the edge like the others. I am VERY pleased with the rest of the series, but the 18mm is different.

Comments about Zhumell Z Series Planetary Telescope Eyepieces:
I recently purchased a Zhumell Z Series 12.5 eyepiece for my Bushnell telescope and love it. It is far superior to the eyepieces that came with the telescope. It is easy to focus and produces a much clearer image. I am very pleased and I'm sure I will purchase another one very shortly.

Comments about Zhumell Z Series Planetary Telescope Eyepieces:
I own a Zhumell Z10 reflector and figured these EP's would be great for my telescope. I purchsed this EP because around 15mm is one of my favorite viewing eyepeices. HOWEVER, being a 5-6 lens element design, you loose a bit of light and contrast on the medium to wider view eyepeices. That being said, I have read other reviews on these EP's and the 3mm - 9mm are regarded as EXCELLENT for viewing planets, which is what these EP's are designed for. I will be ordering the 6mm and possibly the 5mm as well due to recommendations buy other users.

Comments about Zhumell Z Series Planetary Telescope Eyepieces:
I bought this lens (a 5mm) to increase magnification enough to see the rings of Saturn from my beginner scope. It bumped me from 18x to 72x and it did its work. However, when I use the scope in daytime (as a spotting scope looking out over the ocean), I find that contrast is significantly reduced. Still, money well spent.

Comments about Zhumell Z Series Planetary Telescope Eyepieces:
Bought it for close yet relaxing views of the planets. Took it out last night and never thought I could see Jupiter and its cloud bands so clear. Best of all this piece is about half the cost of the similar performing eyepieces. My only complaint is that it is heavy, I expected this but I underestimated it until it came in. Feels very solid though.
