The C130-Mak-GT Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is a member of Celestron's Advanced telescope series. The C-130's Maksutov optics are recognized for portability, ease of use and versatility. That makes the "Mak" an excellent choice for both terrestrial and astronomical use. This C130 Mak has excellent optics with razor sharp images over a wide field. It also features an internal flip-mirror design that allows the user to view celestial objects at a 90-degree angle and also corrects image orientation for viewing of land objects.

The C-130 Mak is mounted on the CG-5GT, computerized equitorial mount that allows access to features like automatic star alignment capability and GoTo slewing to more than 40,000 celestial objects. Equipped with high-speed motors and hand control, the CG-5GT allows quick and accurate, remote slewing to desired objects. And its heavy-duty tripod is the most stable in its class, offering excellent vibration damping.
