Q1: Does this product come with a tripod?
A: Absolutely, the scope includes everything that you will need to use it right out of the box.
Q2: Also, (second question in past 2 minutes...) is shipping free? And is it taxable if I live in Illinois? Thanks so much!
A: You would be required to pay the shipping but there would be no tax.
Q3: Can you send me or can I download an instruction and operation manual. I received the Motormax 90 with RA Motor Drive for Christmas and there is no instructions for operation! Thanks, Kevin Lenfest
A: you can download them directly from the Konus website.
Q4: How does this telescope compare with the Zhumell-eclipse 114 motor drive (sku ec001). ie which is the best?
A: that will depend specifically on your use. The motormax 90 is a 90mm (3.5") Maxutov-cassegrain, which means it will work well for both deepspace and for our solar system. The Zhumell however is 114mm (4.5")reflector. So if your interest is strictly deepspace viewing then get the Zhumell as it has a larger aperture. If your interest is not only deepspace then the motormax 90 would be a perfect choice.
Q5: with the Konus motor max 90 with RA motor drive it says it has astro photography does that mean it can take pictures and if it does how would you get them off? thanks.
A: Actually what that means is that you are able to adapt a camera to this telescope so that you are able to do astrophotography. The telescope does not have a built in camera.
Q6: I allready have a motormax 90 so i would like to ask you wat can i do with this telescope?
A: You can do many types of viewing from terrestrial to astronomical. You can even do photography.
Q7: does it come with a carrying bag?
A: i am sorry but no it does not come with a carrying case. An inexpensive way to get a carrying case is use a duffel bag lined with (egg-shell cusions) some form of cusioning.
Q8: Is it only to be used for astronomical views or also terrestrial ones during the day, like ships on the ocean etc.?
A: You can use it for terrestrial views as well though you will need an accessory called an erect image prism. This accessory corrects the image for you so that it appears right side up instead of inverted.
Q9: whats in the box - pls leist them thanks
A: The Konus MotorMax 90 ships with *equatorial mount with RA motor *metal tripod 73÷121 cm (2.4÷4.0 ft.) *8x21 achromatic finderscope *45° erecting prism *lunar filter *17mm and 10mm Plossl, 1.25-inch eyepieces.
Q10: IS THERE AN APPARATUS THAT I COULD ATTACH TO THE TELESCOPE THAT WOULD ALLOW AN IMAGE BE BE DISPALYED ON A WALL...OR , EVEN A T.V.?
A: Yes, the Meade #902 Electronic Eyepiece will transmit an image from telescope to TV set. It's on sale now, too. It normally sells for $99.95, but for a limited time it's just $39.95. Here's the URL; just paste it into your browser's address window: http://telescopes.com/products/meade-902-electronic-eyepiece-super-sale-18620.html.
