This great little "spyglass" makes a fun gift in a family that owns several binoculars and a small telescope. The size is exactly as described, and even though I layed out those measurements before I ordered it seemed smaller than expected. The quality of the leather wrapped monocular is exceptional, and the box is nice but not carefully hinged; it won't open as wide as it should. Good Gift Item

This is a wonderful little item. It can be difficult to get used to, in particular keeping the scope aligned on your target. The image seems sharp, but if you want an item that delivers great views you'll probably be happier with a good set of binocs or a spotting scope. Keep in mind, this is a novelty/decorative item, so don't expect superior optics or ease of use. The carrying case is adequate and convenient, and it came with a cleaning cloth, which was unexpected and a nice bonus. All in all, I enjoy this spyglass. It looks quite nice, while still delivering decent magnification and clarity.
