Q1: I am a novice but have the time to work with the telescope could you tell me if the KONUS 200 newtonian comes with a full size tripod and how would you compare it to the meade DS-2130ats I am mainly interested in moon and planets and some star clusters I have spent time on your website and have it narrowed down to these two could you please give ma a recomendation THANKS ichard schwenk
A: The Honus 200 definitely comes with a full size tripod. There really is no comparison between the two. The Meade is only 5" in Diameter while the Konus 200 is 8" so much better light gathering capability which makes it much better for Deepspace observations. The Meade however utilizes the Autostar software which will make it easier to locate celestial objects for a beginner.
Q2: I have seen on other sites that this scope comes with a focuser that will accept 2 inch lens. Does this lens accept 2" lens?? Thank you
A: to be honest with you i have never seen this scope offfered in a 2" format. There are adapters you can get that would allow you to use 2' eyepieces.
Q3: Is it possible to puchase the autostar For the Konusky 200 If so how much would it it be to puchase and how much assembly
A: i am sorry but no the Konusky is designed to work with the Autostar.
