Great for beginners. I also have the SkyScout and it aligns up perfectly. It's lightweight with great portability. I'm a casual user and the controls are simple and easy to use in the dark. The only negative that I have is the altaz mount makes it difficult to track the path. But when you're starting out, it's ok. Focusing is easy.
Comments about Celestron SkyScout Scope 90 Telescope:
This scope is not assembled very well. The dew shield had all three screws
coming loose. The first night out the small screws holding the metal track
on the focuser fell out. I had to replace all the screws with better grade in order to get this scope to work. Once i fixed all the assembly errors the scope worked fine. Optics are good for great views of the moon and good views of Mars and Saturn. I would not recommend this scope until celestron
improves on the quality of assembly.
