Tasco's Novice 350x50 refracting telescope is a great way for budding astronomers to start exploring the sky. In fact, the Novice is our best telescope for those who want to go deep into space without going deep into their pocketbook.

Tasco claims magnification of 350X, depending on eyepiece. This would bring the rings of Saturn, Jupiter and even bright, deep-space objects into view without trouble. Even with a 5mm eyepiece the scope should be able to bring in some deep-sky objects without difficulty. The Novice's refractor design is reliable, easy to operate and, when combined with high-quality glass optics, delivers clear, bright and crisp images.
